The Tree

“The Tree” was shot at the BOH Tea Plantation in the Cameron Highlands of Malaysia. It is the largest black tea manufacturer in Malaysia. The Plantation was founded in 1929 by British founder, J. A. Russell. Across the nearly one-century old, 1,200 hectare plantation, there can be found certain lone trees standing out among the tea fields. Each tree was presented to Russell’s grandson after he inherited the family business, throughout his lifetime as gifts from various individuals and entities. He gave each its own name. The trees still remain to this day.
