Street Art Series No. 702

Hruby captures this piece of street art entitled “Folklore by the Sea” painted on the side of one of the old houses built on the water at the Chew Jetty in Georgetown, on Penang Island in Malaysia. The Chew Jetty was built by the Chew Clan in the 1880’s in an effort to not pay a “land tax” to the British. Their homes were instead built on the water thus making them exempt from paying taxes.
