Medieval Castle under Super Moon with Orb
This extraordinary picture is perhaps the only existing photograph in the world of a true orb. It was captured by accident on the night of Tuesday, May 12, 2012, against the backdrop of an old medieval castle and a rising Supermoon. The orb can be seen in the center of the photo; a yellow glowing ball or sphere. This capture was part of a sequence of shots taken by Hruby while photographing the rise of the night’s Supermoon. The sphere was not visible to the eye at the time but showed up in the editing room when examining all the shots taken during the shoot. The sphere was tracked on frames as it moved in various directions during the shoot. Taken at the medieval castle of Leymonie-du-Maupus in Issac, France, the complete story of this photoshoot can be found on Hruby’s blog entitled “The Orb.”
