Goddess of Mercy

This 30.2 meter tall, bronze statue of Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, is located at the Buddhist Kek Lok Si Temple, built in 1891, just outside Georgetown on Penang Island. It serves as a powerful symbol of compassion as looks toward Georgetown. The huge statue sits along the hillside of the temple, covered by a nearly 70 meter-in-diameter, 20-story tall pavilion.
