Anasazi Ruin Under Approaching Storm
Hruby took this photograph in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico (USA). A fast moving storm presented brilliant colors from nature against a backdrop of ancient ruins seen in the distance. The ruins seen are of the Anasazi Puebloan Great House of Peñasco Blanco, built in five stages between 900-1125 AD. Not far from this site is a cliff painting called the “Supernova Pictograph" which is said to record the sighting of a supernova on July 5, 1054 AD. Mother Nature’s own paintbrush at work and now available in this fine piece of canvas wall art.
